Be One of Krampus Bremerton’s Elves
Step into the shadows and join the Krampuslauf as one of Krampus Bremerton’s Elves! This is a performance role—no acting experience required—that adds a theatrical and mysterious edge to the character of Krampus Bremerton. We are seeking 15 volunteers to fill this exciting role in the parade.
About the Role
As an Elf, you’ll march at the head of Krampus Bremerton, forming the dramatic final entry of the parade. Ten participants will be chained together in two rows of five, carrying lanterns and banners, while the remaining five add atmosphere around them.
Elves will walk slowly in line, pausing as Krampus Bremerton engages with the crowd. As part of the performance, you may be lightly struck by Krampus Bremerton’s switch, adding to the spectacle and authenticity of the tradition.
Participation Requirements
Each Elf will receive a numbered cow tag that must be worn and attached to the costume at all times.
For festival safety, all participants must provide a non-costumed profile photo of their face prior to the event.
What You’ll Do
Dress in a provided black robe costume
March in formation as part of the climactic Krampuslauf performance
Carry lanterns and banners (for those in the chained rows)
Add mystery, atmosphere, and theatrical presence to the parade
What to Wear
Dress in all black clothing underneath your robe
Wear layers and prepare for cold, outdoor winter weather
No additional makeup, masks, or costume elements needed—everything is provided
